After your first appointment, your physiotherapist will give you a realistic picture of what to expect — including a timeframe that reflects your specific situation.
No. You don’t need a scan or X-ray before your first appointment. Most conditions can be assessed through your symptoms and a physical examination. While imaging can be useful, it only provides part of the picture and needs to be considered alongside your symptoms and clinical assessment.
If we think imaging would be helpful, we’ll explain why and arrange an appropriate referral. Don’t let the absence of a scan stop you from booking.
