Do patients need a written referral from a GP to access physiotherapy?

No, patients can self-refer. However, a referral letter helps us understand clinical context and allows us to communicate findings back to you appropriately. It's not a barrier to access but it improves coordination of care.

How do you communicate back to referring practitioners?

We provide an initial assessment summary and treatment plan on request. For patients on Medicare Plans (GPCCMP) or other coordinated care arrangements, we touch base with you at the beginning and end of the plan, and at other relavent stages if needed. Let us know your preferred method of communication.

Do you work with Medicare's GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP)?

Yes. We accept Medicare referral under GPCCMP arrangements. Include the relevant item number and confirm the patient's eligibility for up to five sessions per calendar year.

Do you accept WorkCover referrals?

Yes, we are registered under WorkCover NSW. Include the claim number and any specific treatment requirements with the referral.

Do you accept NDIS referrals?

Yes. We work with participants under plan-managed and self-managed plans. We are are not set up for agency-managed (NDIA) plans. Contact us to discuss the requirements for your specific plan (or your patient's plan if you are a referrer).
